Seminars
Aikido seminars are extended training sessions taught by highly ranked
guest instructors, usually involving between two and four classes per
day. Students are encouraged to attend, but attendance is not mandatory.

Saturday June 14th: Hagihara Sensei
- Albany Aikido welcomes back Edward Hagihara (7th Dan, Shihan) of Long Island Aikikai to teach on Saturday from 10am - 2pm.

- 2006, Henry Smith of Aikido Philadelphia: On October 14th.
- 2006, Yousuf Mehter of Aikido
of Central New York: On September 9th.
- 2006, David Halprin Sensei: June 17th (6th Dan, Shidoin, Framingham Aikikai). David Halprin was a long time student of the late, great, Kanai Sensei.
This will be a one day seminar on Saturday June 17th from 10am - 2pm.
- 2006, April 29-30: Sensei at Harvard Aikikai. Sensei will be teaching at the Harvard Aikikai Spring Seminar, run by Sioux Hall Sensei (5th Dan).
- 2006, April 1-2: Sensei at the Saratoga Martial Arts Festival. Sensei will be giving a demonstration and teaching a class from 3:30pm - 5:00pm on Saturday at the Saratoga Martial Arts Festival.
- 2005, 20th Anniversary of Faust Sensei's teaching in the Capital District,
September 9th - 11th, 2005. Featuring Harvey Konigsberg Shihan, Yousuf
Mehter Sensei, Joel Posluns Sensei, and Brian Mizerak. Capping our 20th
Anniversary celebrations, and despite the very unfortunate loss of Yamada
Shihan, the seminar proved to be truly amazing, reminding us not only
of the great styles of Konigsberg Shihan and Mehter Sensei, and our
old friend Brian Mizerak, but also introducing us to the powerful style
of Posluns Sensei. Thankyou to all who instructed and attended for making
this a wonderful event.
- Clyde Takeguchi Sensei, July 9-10, 2005. (7th Dan, Shihan, Capital
Aikikai) taught a wonderful seminar as part of our year long 20th
Anniversary celebrations.
- Frank Johnson Sensei (5th Dan, Shidoin, Aikido
of Nassau County) taught an excellent street effective seminar in
June 2005.
- Sensei at Yousuf Mehter Sensei's Aikido
of Central New York in Syracuse, NY, on February 2005.
- Sensei at Clyde Takaguchi Sensei's dojo, Capital
Aikikai, in Silver Springs, MD, on December 2004.
- Sensei in Santigo, Chile in October.
- Special Guest Instructor Patrick Johnsen Sensei (5th Dan, Aikido
Dojo Gamlestaden).
